APPROACH

"My Approach is Integrative"

This means that I am flexible and focus on the whole of an individual. By integrating different approaches I can adapt to meet individual needs and concerns.

I have integrated some Humanistic and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy into my practice.

Humanistic

I will use the core condition to create a warm therapeutic relationship, providing in turn a safe holding environment.

Everyone should be let to tell their story.

The degree to which I can create relationships, which facilitate the growth of others as separate persons, is a measure of the growth I have achieved in myself.”

 - Carl R. Rogers, On Becoming a Person: A Therapist's View of Psychotherapy.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Sometimes our unconscious holds onto painful feelings and memories, which can be too difficult for the conscious mind to deal with.

This approach can help can give you a better understanding of your issues and gain self-knowledge in addition to symptom relief.

Tell me what you fear and I will tell you what has happened to you."

 - Donald Woods Winnicott.
